Law Enforcement

​​​​​​The Law Enforcement Professional Standards (LEPS) Program is tasked with oversight of the training and certification of law enforcement officers in the State of West Virginia pursuant to West Virginia State Code, 30-29 et al and Legislative Rules CSR 149-2 et al.  This oversight is carried out by the Law Enforcement Professional Standards (LEPS) Subcommittee of the Governor's Committee on Crime, Delinquency and Corrections and DAS's Law Enforcement Professional Standards (LEPS) Coordinator.  Information addressing the training and certification oversight process can be obtained from the following links or the contact individuals listed below.
