General Grant Programs

​​​​​A grant is an award of financial assistance to a recipient to carry out a public service of support or simulation authorized by law.  To facilitate transparency and fiscal responsibility, all grants issued from Justice and Community Services are on a reimbursement basis only.  The Agency's grants are not benefits or entitlements, nor are they loans to individuals.  JCS is committed to helping state and local units of governments and private non-profit entities develop meaningful programs, achieve goals, serve clients and promote public safety.
