DAS Employee of the Quarter - July-September 2023

It is with great pride that we announce Mark Beckner from the DAS Human Resources Section as the winner of the Employee of the Quarter for the period of July 1, ​2023 through September 30, 2023. Mark began his career in state government in 2016 with the Division of Juvenile Services and was part of the consolidation into the Division of Administrative Services where he currently works in payroll and benefits.  His favorite hobby is playing music.  Mark lives in Elkview, WV with his favorite companion, his dog Jake.

The Division of Administrative Services (DAS) Employee of the Quarter (EOQ) Program is designed to recognize those members of the DAS team that consistently embody the overarching goals of the agency such as contributions to the organization, those who demonstrate exceptional work performance and teamwork and who are committed to delivering a premier level of customer service. 

The agency defines "customer service"​ in two ways.   It is not ​narrowly defined as only service provided to our external customer base.  While the agency places great emphasis on providing quality service to that base, we are equally driven by an understanding and commitment regarding the value of the internal customer: our coworkers.
